This is number one of a limited edition that will not exceed thirty-seven numbered pieces with no artist proofs.
The bronze figure stands 4 3/8 inches high. The black marble base is 3 inches high by 3 deep and 4 wide. The artist’s signature and the number of the piece are engraved on the top of the base behind the figure.
The artist’s final sculpting was carved in sierra red wax, a very hard wax to facilitate the finest detail and polished surface. The patina, professionally rendered by the American Fine Arts Foundry with the artist’s directions and approval, is a classic antique brown. It gives each piece a rich and polished finish with shades and highlights and varying tonal values.
