 Author, Poet, Healing Artist and Community Activist, D. M’Chelle discovered her gift for the arts late in life after a series of chance meetings with various artists, musicians, and activist that she found herself surrounded by and has been a committed advocate and promoter of the healing properties of the creative arts since. She is recognized as one of the most inspirational spiritual artists and Healing arts practitioners in the area that presents an ascended level of consciousness in the way we view our power to be a positive influence for social, political, economic, industrial, and spiritual transformation. Her works have inspired other healing and performing arts practitioners and non-profit organizations in Minneapolis/St.Paul, MN, Los Angeles, San Jose, and Santa Monica California, Costa Rica and abroad. Her consultations and services Her works have been vehicles of providing health and wellness, positive transformation, and homeostasis within the mind, body, and spirit and are designed to empower the people by providing avenues of self-healing and personal growth, constructive self-expression, spiritual edification, and self-sustainable living and for the healing of Mother Earth.
She is also the designer of G.A.I.A.H, The Global Alliance of Integrative Artbased Healing and an extensive series of healing artistry that combines the sentient healing power of Reiki, spoken word and visual art.

She’s received the International Poet's Award in 2006 for "Wisdom" a poetic work from her 1st book, "Soulism" and has been awarded a MN State Arts Board Cultural Community Partnership Grant for a collaborative arts project with Edgar Young III called “Ancestor’s Idiom” an collections of poetic visual and handcrafted artistry by D. M’Chelle and Edgar Young III that will be on Exhibit in February 2011. |
