A lot of the subtle variations in hue are lost to digital photography (especially the distant shots) which makes areas look more solid in the digital image than they really are. There is lots of visual texture and flow.
THIS PIECE CAME OUT A TAD DARKER THAN IN REAL LIFE. THE CLOSE UPS BELOW GIVE THE BEST IDEA OF VISUAL TEXTURE, TRANSPARENCY AND SATURATION OF COLOR.
