Dr. Tan Nguyen was born and raised in Vietnam and Cambodia. He graduated as a Pharmacist in France (1976). In 1979, he emigrated to the US where he earned a Doctor degree in Podiatric Medicine (1984). Dr. Nguyen has a medical practice in San Leandro, CA since 1986. He also serves the local Vietnamese community as an ordained minister. He will contribute 20% of the proceeds from his artwork sales to help get medical and school supplies to the less fortunate Vietnamese kids in Vietnam and Cambodia.
Dr. Nguyen has developed his drawing and painting skills since he was young and has acquired more knowledge of the fine arts through the influence of several Vietnamese, French, and American artists. His present mentor is the great landscape master, Charles White. Dr. Nguyen's arts reflect this universal contribution.
He believes that God gave him special inspiration in each of his creations and painted each piece of art as if commissioned by a museum. With a realization of his God-given gift, he always makes time from his busy schedule to paint whatever he feels strongly inspired to do. He has the conviction that his paintings will impact many lives in a positive way today and for years to come.
Note: Dr. Nguyen loves to share to everyone his "10 Commandments For Good Health" to help people stay young and healthy as long as they could. He encourages people to use his positive and uplifting artworks as a vehicle to meditate ("Open-Eyed Meditation") in order to relax, fight stresses, or counter-balance the negative influences in their modern lives. To know more about "The 10 Commandments For Good Health" or "The Open-eyed Meditation Technique" please send him a request or call him at: 510-798-2140. He will be glad to send them to you at no charge. |
