Nature Moods Art GalleryHello!

Thank you for visiting Nature moods Art Gallery. In this site, you will see the works of Godofredo Mercado Reyes and his son, Will B. Reyes. Both are full-time professional artists from the Philippines.

WILL B. REYES

Will B. Reyes attended the University of the Philippines, College of Fine Arts where he obtained a B.F.A. degree. He paints a wide array of subject matter but landscape is the closest to his heart. He has a passion for plein air painting, an artistic practice wherein one works directly from nature. Will believes that by working outdoors, one can capture the essence, color, mood and excitement of the landscape more subtly. His native province of Bulacan with its countryside scenes serves as a rich source of inspiration. Fidelity to nature is Will's guiding principle in painting.

Will B. Reyes had his his first solo show at the Vargas Museum of the University of the Philipines in 1990 and has participated in numerous group shows including the juried show "Pastels U.S.A." 13th Annual International Open Exhibition held in Roseville, California in 1999. He was once a resident painter in Senator Edgardo Angara's farm in Batangas, Philippines together with a friend and fellow artist Nilo Badajos.

Will takes inspiration from his father, painter Godofredo Mercado Reyes as well as the 19th Century American landscape painters such as George Inness, Jasper F. Cropsey, John F. Kensett, Albert Bierstadt, William Stanley Haseltine, Thomas Moran and the English painter John Constable.

GODOFREDO MERCADO REYES
