	The Thinker Michelangelo Zetterq... The giant figure is a tribute to the statue of David as a replacement for Rodin's Thinker. Rodin created his famous crouching nude (1881) in response to his admiration for the giant fresco The Last Judgement. In this masterpiece a figure is captured in the process of being snatched and taken down to hell. Michelangelo painted the figure in a sort of crouching position with one hand up to her face. Rodin was so impressed by the depictions on this wall filled with references to Dante's Divine Comedy, that he sculpted his own giant 'Dante" called The Gates of Hell. In the center is the famous Thinker resembling the Sistine's crouched and posed damned soul. My Thinker is a 7' x 4' close up of a female nude (see Muscle Relaxer Detail 15 Civic Identity). She is seen from the waste up, standing heroically instead of crouching in apocalyptic terror. Jesus stands center in Michelangelo's fresco but in my Thinker he is pushed to one side, held by Dante's torch in Detail 7 Gemini. The Thinker points to her head as if to say "The answer will be found up here not in your Bible". Behind The Thinker the minions from The Last Judgement make their theatric enactment of the coming of The Thinker er I mean Jesus. God above with fishing poles, the angels struggling to position them. On-lookers watching the whole war, and below of course the struggle between the damned and the bottom-dwellers. This struggle I feel goes on not in reality but is the war in The Thinkers head. In front of her is a mobile of her own positivity turning, consolidated as best as one could piece it all together. It is hovering like a chandelier. Around this mobile Detail 9 The Comedy, spins a roller-coaster (see University of Amusement Painting 4).
