Lighthouse - Lore and Legend

Lore and legend are synonymous with lighthouses. In my native province of Nova Scotia most families of seafarers have a story of exception and are graciously willing to share these in prose and song.
Despite the fact that functional lighthouses are near extinction their presence is not an uncommon sight along the eastern Canadian shoreline. Many communities have come together to preserve these historical landmarks and in some areas individuals have purchased them as family dwellings.
