Sand dune and Snow Fence
Melanie Elliott
This painting was created on quality rag paper and measures 8 x 10 inches.
The subject matter of this painting is somewhat of a paradox. Environmentalists advocate the placement of a snow/sand fence to encourage the survival and growth of eroding sand dunes and elimination of surrounding sea grasses.
Nova Scotia's (Canada) southern coastline is presented with the challenge of preserving their pristene saltscapes and snow/sand fences have made this possible.
