Large, framed original oil painting of a group of 3 sailors cruising past the Statue of Liberty in New York harbor. A military officer told me that sailors are not supposed to remove their caps as they enter port. I know the scene is accurate because I saw it, so we both concluded that the sailors were likely so overwhelmed by the sight of the Lady that they spontaneously removed their caps out of awe and respect. The medium is oil on canvas. I used the finest Grumbacher water soluble oil paints. The painting measures 18 x 24 inches and is beautifully framed in a gold wood frame, that measures 24 x 30 inches. Wire installed and ready to hang. I am proud to offer this inspirational patriotic painting for sale on yessy.
