	New Africans Jan Cilliers de Wet Deep earth red has been circulating in my psyche for some time, looking for a way into a painting. This is the first time it made it into one, the ground for an abstraction of people and poses. I find it amazing how a simple silhouette can say so much about the personality and mood of a figure.
