*Subject* The near mono-culture of the very hardy Triangle-leaf Bursage, or Ambrosia deltoidea, dominates the area in the foreground which is slightly higher than the peripheral area in the mid-distance. Bursage, a member of the Compositae, or Sunflower family, is very successful in the Sonoran Desert, and can be found nearly everywhere in this desert.
