 Hello! I'm David(Davis)Wilson, the creator of D.Wilson~Art Design, LLC; whimsical yet soothing art for contemporary interiors. I am a self-taught artist with a home studio in West Hartford, CT. After many years of dabbling in various creative expressions, I fell in love with creating functional stoneware pottery. I studied with John Macomber of Greenleaf Pottery in South Windsor, CT www.greenleafpottery.com . and continue take sessions there.
Displayed here is a "portfolio" of past and present works. My pastels and paintings have been recognized and used in the interior designs of Jolie Korek of Interiors Inc. Scarsdale, NY.
I am the former designer for the Pond House Restaurant in West Hartford, CT where some work may be viewed today including fine art,most fabric designs and hangings, colorful birdhouses, and wall-finishes. I am a crafter of many things for the home and as much as I love pottery I needed to create a business name that does not limit me to just pottery. Ceativity is all about expanding, making more, and discovering new creations!
I spent time volunteering at WAAC then employed part-time at The Windham Area Arts Collaborative as gallery and events coordinator.
With inspriration from natural environments from the sea to the forest. I am also wildly inspired by the hip and cutting edge and contemporary designs that only New York City can provide. The result is an array of images from bubbly amoebe-like designs and surreal nature to unusual and warm portraits. A jack of not all, but many creative trades, I am currently focused on pottery.
