The frame is a deep burgundy wine color that continues on the back of the plaque. This petite original painting looks good displayed on a small decorative easel or plate stand. If you wish to hang it you can attach a plaque ring to the top. It has been a tiring day for kitty watching the family wrap all those presents. He has decided to take a nap in front of the warm fire in his favorite chair. The background is painted in warm hues of yellows with shadows of burgundy around and in front of the fireplace and continuing to the bottom edge of the painting. The fireplace is a rustic white with an orange and brown mantel. There are red and green packages scattered throughout the festive room and a small pot of red flowers with greenery on the right side of the fireplace. There is a colorful oval rug in front of the cozy orange chair that is accommodating the napping kitty with his sleepy head lying up against a soft green pillow.
