KATHY CRUM, a resident of Millville, NJ, USA, has enjoyed painting many commission works. She works from photos of a favorite sunset, pet, motorcycles, car, boat, special place,etc. Her media of choice are oil and acrylic on canvas, but has of late expanded to abstacts of mixed media. Kathy's day jobs have included retail stores, asbestos removal, laundramat owner, and various factory positions. A few of her favorite things are: cats, travel, painting at the lounge, water skiing, Don's cooking, painting, painting, and yes, painting.
DON SHAW, an abstract expressionist works in a variety of media; including sculpture in wood and metal, painting in acrylic and oil, drawing with colored pencils. A native of Millville, NJ, USA, he enjoys acting in community theater, free-form dance, playing guitar, and singing. He compares his creative process to automatic writing, a process of "getting out of the way" and letting the subconscous mind create.
Kathy and Don met in 2004. In 2005, they combined their work and opened Crum-Shaw Galleries, at the 'Artist's Walk' on High Street, in Millville. In 2006,Don and Kathy decided to move their gallery and studio, to their home on the Maurice River, in Millville, where they host open house"Collector's Weeekends', and pleinaire gatherings.
