"Blue Bachelor Buttons"

"The cornflower is also known as bachelor buttons. They grow prolifically in home gardens or wide stretches of field and meadow. In pink, white, fuscia, and shades of blue, who wouldn't want such fancy buttons?"
Artist Comments: "On 140# hot-pressed watercolor paper, I painted a dark background, leaving white paper where I had sketched the flowers and leaves. I lightly painted in the leaves and greens of the buds. When it was dry, I layered a variety of blue values to shape the bachelor's buttons. I finished it by 'picking' out white highlights with a sharp tip of a razor blade."
"Blue Bachelor Buttons" is a limited edition, giclée print from an original watercolor painting by Carol Thompson. Edition length is 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs). Prints on paper are signed and numbered by Carol Thompson, include a signed certificate of authenticity, and are shrink wrapped on fome board. Prints on canvas are signed and numbered by Carol Thompson, include a signed certificate of authenticity, and are gallery wrapped (the image is extended or mirrored to wrap around the sides of wooden stretcher bars and stapled to the back) so the print can be displayed framed or unframed. Other products are not signed or numbered unless specifically noted.
