"The large Sause Brothers tug, 'Chinook', is on the ply on the Columbia River near Astoria, Oregon.”
Artist comment: "West of the Astoria-Megler Bridge, I spied this great tug pulling a barge. I chose to depict, with art on canvas, just the boat (I will paint a large horizontal scene with everything on it later). I like the grey sky and the soft hills diminishing into the distance, setting off the dark sleek lines of the boat. Two pilings with aged moss on them balance the composition.”
"Chinook On The Ply" is a limited edition, giclée print from an original pastel painting by Carol Thompson. Edition length is 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs). Prints on paper are signed and numbered by Carol Thompson, include a signed certificate of authenticity, and are shrink wrapped on fome board. Prints on canvas are signed and numbered by Carol Thompson, include a signed certificate of authenticity, and are gallery wrapped (the image is extended or mirrored to wrap around the sides of wooden stretcher bars and stapled to the back) so the print can be displayed framed or unframed. Other products are not signed or numbered unless specifically noted.
