This quilt was a commission piece made in 1997. It was completed January 1, 1998.
The offset green center of the quilt features a hand quilted replica of the owner's shoulder tattoo which is a fighting leprechaun.
In each of the squares of the 9 Patch block, there is heirloom quality hand quilting. In the green blocks, there is a shamrock. In the navy blue blocks, there is a flower and in the yellow blocks, there are interconnecting circles which represent the gold coins from the pot of gold.
In the yellow border, there is a diamond shaped chain hand quilted to encircle the quilt.
The center block was off set so that when the top of the quilt was put over the pillows on the bed, the leprechaun would be in the center of the bed.
