Custom Wyoming Valley Quilt

We offer 5 different sizes and one is sure to fit into your budget. The example shown is 120"x 120" and has 4 Theme Fabrics (4 different sports which includes basketball, bowling, billards, and golf) but the other fabrics used remain the same to give the quilt continuity.
The quilt shown is the second in a series using the Wyoming Valley block. The technique comes from the book Surprising Designs from Traditional Quilt Blocks by Carole Fure. It is an interesting way to view usually complicated quilt blocks and play with color and layout within each block to achieve amazing variety in designs. See my other quilts based on this quilt block and technique.
The block used in the quilt is called Wyoming Valley and is the only block in the quilt. Different looks are obtained by changing the fabric placement from block to block.
Look at my other gallery item, Choir of Angels Tapestry Quilt. This is another example of the Wyoming Valley block and is totally different then the example shown.
You can send a color photo of the room you intend to use or display the quilt in. The photos can be either mailed the artist or emailed to us. Please use the Contact button on the side menu.
The artist will select a feature fabric based on your theme preference and select coordinating fabrics from that piece. The artist likes to add one additional accent fabric to add some zing to your quilt and triesto select that from the photo that you provide.
Your Theme Fabric choice is up to you. Be as specific as you can. Animals such as wolves or deer work well. We can do flowers or a specific sport as the theme fabric. We can find just about any fabric.

Manufacturing time is 4-5 weeks for a wall hanging, 5-6 weeks for a lap quilt, 6-7 weeks for double size, 8-9 weeks for queen size and 10-12 weeks for king size depending on order backlog. Please remember, all the quilting is done by hand, not machine so manufacturing time is longer than a mass produced, factory item.
All quilts have unbleached muslin for the backing fabric. Each one is signed and dated by the artist. Crafted in a smoke-free and animal-free environment.
Please contact the artist if you have questions before submitting your order. The sizes below are approximate. Your quilt could be an inch or 2 larger or smaller depending on the amount of quilting.
