This art quilt will be a wonderful, bright, abstract addition to any décor style. The size is 28"x28".
Naming pieces can be difficult. I saw pinwheels that I used to play with as a child as I was making the quilt. Others who see the quilt on display tell me they see a River Eddy that makes potholes in the bedrock of the river.
Four fabrics were used to make this piece of art that has sparkle from the white background fabric as well as the black/gold fabric which adds a touch of elegance.
The hand quilting stitches are heirloom-quality and greatly enhance the overall design of the piece. This is finely detailed hand quilting that is only achieved after years of practice. The hand quilting in the 2 borders gives this piece a unique, subdued finish.
The quilt is also hand bound.
This is truly a piece of art that will grace your walls for years to come. The back of the wall hanging is covered traditionally, with unbleached muslin and is signed and dated by the quilter.
Hanging sleeves are already sewed on the back for ease of display. All fabrics in the wall hanging are 100% cotton. The batting used is also 100% cotton.
This wall hanging is machine washable and dryable. Complete care instructions are included as well as inexpensive directions for hanging the piece “invisibly”. Crafted in a smoke-free and animal-free environment.

--Juried into the "Not Your Grandmothers Quilt Show" exhibit at the Elk River Art Alliance Gallery in Elk River, Minnesota. Exhibit dates July 9, 2009 to August 29, 2009. Artist reception July 16, 2009 from 5 to 9pm.
--Manchester National Juried Fine Art Exhibition at the 12 12 Gallery in Richmond, VA. February 23, 2007 through March 18, 2007. One of 50 pieces juried in from 908 submitted pieces.
