Custom Ford Art Quilt
Sisters In Stitches (see more by this artist)
This textile piece is perfect as a gift for the car enthusiast in your family. The Ford emblem is used with permission from Ford for these limited edition quilts. We offer 5 different sizes and one is sure to fit into your budget.
You can send a photo of your particular Ford Vehicle and we will use it as a template for the hand quilting on either side of the Ford Emblem. We can also handquilt the emblem from the grill as is shown in the example above.
If you prefer, we can utilize a photo from our own archive as long as you provide the year, make and model of your vehicle.
To order your own custom, handquilted Ford wall hanging or quilt, please fill out the form below and mail it to the address above along with payment. Queen size and King size quilts are paid in 3 installments. One third is due at the time of the order. The 2nd third is due when the quilt top is completed.
Photos will be either mailed or emailed to the customer to show that the work is completed. When the 2nd payment is received, the hand quilting will begin. The final payment is due prior to shipping. Once again, photos will be either mailed or emailed to the customer showing the completed quilt.
Ford emblem colors of white and blue are used for the quilt. If you prefer a different color then the blue, please specify that when ordering.
Manufacturing time is 4-5 weeks for a wall hanging, 5-6 weeks for a lap quilt, 6-7 weeks for double size, 8-9 weeks for queen size and 10-12 weeks for king size depending on order backlog. Please remember, all the hand quilting and appliqué of the Ford emblem is done by hand, not machine so manufacturing time is longer than a mass produced, factory item.
All wall hangings and quilts have unbleached muslin for the backing fabric. Each is signed and dated by the artist. Crafted in a smoke-free and animal-free environment.
Please call or email if you have questions before submitting your order. The sizes below are approximate. Your quilt could be an inch or two larger or smaller depending on the amount of quilting. The navy fabric may not be the same design as in the example, but it will be a mottled navy print.
The quilt shown in the 38"x38" size was on exhibit June 23-25, 2006 in St. Paul, Minnesota at the Minnesota Street Rod Association (MSRA) 33rd Annual "Back to the 50's Weekend" car show.
This quilt was also on display along with 1 of the Gran Torino cars pictured on the quilt at the Carcraft Summer Nationals in St. Paul, MN at the Minnesota State Fair Grounds from July 21-23, 2006.
