Spearfish" Lisa Ruggiero (see more by this artist) Mediterranean Spearfish, part of the Living Waters Series; Rare, but wide spread fish that is found in tropical and sub-tropical oceans. Looks very similar to the Marlin family. Carved free hand without patterns used, making it unique piece of artwork. Painted in watercolors/metal acrylics so the natural beauty of the knots and wood grain can be seen through the colors. Sealed in 6 coats of a high grade marine varnish that will protect the colors against damage from light. This fish measures 40 inches in length, is 17 inches wide and has a glass blue fish eye. There is a wire hanger also on the back for easy hanging. Comes signed, dated, numbered along with its name by wood burning on the backside.
