Hand scaled before painting in watercolors; this allows the natural knots/wood grain to show through the colors. Sealed in 8 coats of a high gloss, high grade marine varnish which will protect the colors and wood regardless of where the fish is displayed. Black grouper #3 is 27 inches in length, 11.5 in height and has a glass fish eye. There is wire and eye hooks for ease in hanging. The back of the fish also has 2 coats of varnish along with the name, number and year with the DryRiver Carvings logo burned into to the wood. Included is a certificate of authenticity.
