Oriental Cascade Flowering Plum Tree

Springtime in the Pacific Northwest is when these beautiful flowering plum trees burst into full bloom. These trees are profuse in the oriental gardens of the Buchart Botanical Gardens in Victoria BC, Canada, our close neighbor and one of my favorite retreats. When the blossoms fall from the trees they float ever so lightly to the ground and cover the grass with petals.
The colors of the blooms are brilliant pink tones and the leaves are a very dark purple. To capture the essence of the blooms I chose to use one of my favorite gemstones, the ruby spinel and for their leaves the deep purple-red tones of the Almandine garnets. The cascade design sweeps the blooms down one side with an oriental flare with the new longer shoots popping out from each branch. The wire is a blend of gold plated and light bronze tones with some gold leaves added to give depth to the piece.

I saw this tree and wanted to buy it but it was already sold. Customer was coming to pick it up. The colors were beautiful. It was so well made you could turn it to any angle and it was beautiful. I was sorry someone else beat me to it. I have seen gem stone trees before but none of this quality or with so many gems.
Seller response: This tree was created with ruby spinel stones and I will be creating similar trees in the future with this stone. I have gotten several nice comments about this tree. Thank-you for leaving this one on Yessy.
