Wall Art No.5- Curly Maple/Padouk/Ro

My favorite aspect about this wall hanging is the contrast. The rich red of the padouk really pops against the curly maple, and the dark eggplant of the indian rosewood stands by itself.
Of course I had to add a few brushed aluminum accents, so I started with the 7 circles, which reduce by 3/8" in diameter and 1/16" in height.
It needed something else though, something to give it even more dimension, so I inlaid the wavy angled strip. It is comprised of 10 machined angle pieces, set in a shallow retaining groove in the padouk.
It has a bit of art deco styling to it, but I can see this going well in almost any home decor as it stands out as a conversation piece all on it's own..
The backer plate has 4 hanging points, so you can select which orientation you like the most.
Dimensions are: 27.5" T x 12" W, and is about 1.5" thick.
