This one of a kind sculpture was inspired by the Cherokee legend - The Two Wolves
A Cherokee elder began speaking to his grandson
"A war is going on inside every person," he said to the boy.
"It is a terrible fight between two wolves. One is vicious and is empowered by anger, cruelty, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, and false pride." Grandfather continued, "The other is good and gains strength from joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith."
The boy considered this for awhile and then asked, "Grandfather, which wolf will win?"
The Cherokee Elder answered softly, "The one you feed."
Wolf is constructed of a wire skeleton covered with an volcanic ash & wood pulp clay with jewelry wire toenails and glass eyes. He is approximately 9 inches tall and 11 inches long.
