Celestial Spirit Pony was inspired by the legend of the Cloud Horse
It is said that when a person is ready to journey to the other side that a white horse will come to carry them across the sky to the other side where all their family is waiting on the banks of a beautiful lake or river.. when you see the thin cirrus clouds in the sky, those are the tails and manes of the spirit horses carrying them home
Horse offers great strength, grace & incorruptible spirit that teaches the oneness of humanity and unites the grounded power of Mother Earth with the whispers of wisdom found in the Spirit Winds. Horse medicine can carry you safely to your needed destination regardless of how difficult or perilous the journey.
This one of a kind sculpture (molds were neither used nor created during construction) is approximately 8 inches tall by 7 inches long (excluding mane & tail). It is constructed of a volcanic ash & wood pulp air dried clay molded over a wire skeleton with a mane & tail of flax fiber and is painted with acrylic paint & embellished with beads & feathers.
