Somewhere I hear there
that there
where fields are sweet with the scent of the earth
Time moves in a straighter line
and it is easy to see the imprints of its passing.
The visit of summer storms cleanse the air
we listen to the deep voice hidden in the clouds and shout out our discovery of the colorful signature across the sky signed in transparent colors by the rain.
And late in the afternoon we find there
where we left our clothes to dry crisp in the sun
The glasses out side with lemoned water and one lone cardinal singing in the Ash tree.
