White Horse
Vics Magsaysay (see more by this artist)
Stunning, majestic, handsome, gracious--and more adjectives to describe such wonderful creatures who have been with us for thousands of years.
Without horses life would have been a lot difficult for all of us. We won't be where we are now if not for these beasts of burden--they are part and parcel of our progress. Doesn't it make a lot of horse sense to be captivated by this animal?
We saw this huge white horse in Julian, California. He was a few hundred yards away from where we parked. Gradually he moved toward us. I was not even prepared to set my cameras when this horse poke its head over the fence. I patted his nose. He liked it. My brother-in-law told me to give him carrots or apples. Luckily I still have one apple left in the cooler. I placed the fruit on top of the fence but it fell. The excited horse gobbled the whole fruit and chomped it.
Then, he's back near my face again. He looked deeply in my eyes. It's like communicating that I should touch him again. I did.
I took several shots of this wonderful creature. He likes being photographed. Such a docile animal. My caress touched him and, of course, he touched me deeply, too.
The memory still lingers. I won't forget this white horse.
