"With steady winds and sunny days, Lincoln City, Oregon, is one of the most popular kite flying places in the Northwest. These particular kites are attached together by a double strand of strong string and can be made to perform aerobatic maneuvers by manipulating the hand held bar to which they are attached."
Artist comment: "My husband and two sons took turns flying a 'rainbow' stack of seven TRLBY kites as I photographed the scene with a future painting in mind. With oil, I sketched the composition loosely, then proceeded to paint sky and sea and sand, leaving the details white. I carefully rendered the kites and tails. Finally I painted the figures on the beach. I like the way the warm sand compliments the bright kites."

Edition length is 2050 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (2000 numbered and 50 artist proofs). Prints on paper are signed and numbered by Carol Thompson, include a signed certificate of authenticity, and are shrink wrapped on fome board. Prints on canvas are signed and numbered by Carol Thompson, include a signed certificate of authenticity, and are gallery wrapped (the image is extended or mirrored to wrap around the sides of wooden stretcher bars and stapled to the back) so the print can be displayed framed or unframed. Other products are not signed or numbered unless specifically noted.
