This painting started out as a close up of Kwan Yin. It evolved into this Warrior Princess. As with many of my paintings, I will draw something and find out later what or why it has represented itself in a particular way. This is a Tibetan warrior princess. I do not know much about this culture and any additional information is welcome. What I do know is that this warrior princess is strong and fierce and vibrates the mantra Om. She is strongly grounded in her mantra, which makes her fearless and unstoppable. If you look closely you can see her as part of the Om symbol in reverse. Her head gear is in the form of a beautiful snake. Above her head are the Sanskrit words Namah Shivaya. When I was working on this painting I felt as if I was hearing the Om chanted loudly by many, many voices.
