Does the cross need to be moved? Does the elephant own the cross? What happens if the elephant leaves the cross behind? Will the cross perish or be stolen? What if the cross detaches itself? Will the elephant lose some of its strength and power? Does dragging the cross benefit the elephant enough to make it necessary? Political overtones aside, this is meant to be an example of partnerships or alliances that benefit both entities with varying and sometimes opposing views and goals. It is my belief that this is a natural occurring phenomenon in many places in society and nature. It seems to create a self-regulating balance mechanism.
