The artist likes to use almost diaphanous figures because it suggests not only the fragility and vulnerability of the human condition but points to the human person as a mystery. Too often we approach people with a reductionist mentality, reducing them to problems to be solved rather than appreciating them as wondrous mysteries worthy of contemplation.
