"The day ends in a red glow that quickly fades to purple on the beach at Cannon Beach, Oregon. Famous Haystack Rock looms dark and mysterious and the lighthouse on Tillamook Rock disappears into the evening mist as you enjoy a lingering 'beach walk at sunset'."
Artist Comments: "This painting was the result of a memorable day on the coast of Oregon, ending at Cannon Beach. My family had spent the day beachcombing, flying kites, picnicing, and generally having a grand time. As the time to leave the beach drew ever nearer, the scene became ever more beautiful, holding all four of us spell-bound by the glory of the setting sun. So, we sat on the sand at the southern end of the shore, and gazed at the purples, reds and golds, until the last rays of light left the sky. Later in my studio, I recreated the memory of the day in this small watercolor on 140# Arches hot-pressed watercolor paper.
"Beach Walk At Sunset" is a limited edition, giclée print from an original watercolor painting by Carol Thompson. Edition length is 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs). Prints on paper are signed and numbered by Carol Thompson, include a signed certificate of authenticity, and are shrink wrapped on fome board. Prints on canvas are signed and numbered by Carol Thompson, include a signed certificate of authenticity, and are gallery wrapped (the image is extended or mirrored to wrap around the sides of wooden stretcher bars and stapled to the back) so the print can be displayed framed or unframed. Other products are not signed or numbered unless specifically noted.
