It is 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" and painted on 3/8" thick plywood. The background is a deep blue and the leaves are olive and lime tones of green with creamy flowers. With the warm tones of the vase, the colors seem to glow against the deep background.
I like my paintings to show off the charactoristics of the wood, so I leave the sides stained wood and on many pieces you can see the wood knots on the surface and sides. The knots and wood grains are intentional and give a uniqueness to each piece. This painting weighs a little over 2 lbs.
