Monstera deliciosa is a vining plant, which grows well in the shade. Like many shade plants, it has large leaves for capturing as much sunlight as possible. While the holes in its leaves have an advantage for the plant, I like to think of it as being unselfish, and willing to share light with plants even beneath its own canopy. The leaves grow large, but the plant is not greedy. I like to think of it as a generous soul, despite its own poverty.
This original oil painting is painted on all sides, and has a 1.5 inch profile. It is ready to hang on arrival.
Prints are available, and are made using archival quality inks and paper. The paper is acid-free. Since this is an open edition print, they are not numbered, but each is hand signed by the artist.
