Bateman's was Rudyard Kiplings home. The house is located near the village of Burwash in Sussex, England. The structure was built by a Wealden ironmaster in local sandstone. The date over the porch is 1634. This is an evocative house and garden steeped in history. It does seem like time stands still here.
