My focus has been to have a great contrast going between pure whites and strong darks. Because I visited the Turner exhibit at the Grand-Palais in Paris, this work is an homage to William Turner. I used many layers of glazing over the grisaille. A peaceful scene, an eclectic environment full of antiques and things all mixed up in an old house in Paris and an old man simply enjoying a great book. Art is the best asset class right now This is an original, not a print by Dominique Amendola.The painting is signed in front. Dominique has many paintings hanging in private museums in the US as well as in castles in France. She has been published countless times by Bhaktivedanta Book trust and Mandala media.
