Fettucini Cafe, Comercial Drive, Vancouver, B.C., Sept. 1989,
chinese sumi colour inks on rice paper, 18 x 24 in., 46 x 61 cm.
My paintings in that period were done free hand, without preliminary sketches nor any working lines on the paper. This is paint applied directly on a blank page.
Painting was done on location.
The close up picture is of higher resolution to be able to get a feel for the texture and brush strokes of the painting.
