~TITLE: Dream Realm
~ABOUT: Very different from any of my other pieces, Dream Realm is a mixed media painting, combining a digital photograph, fine art papers, molding paste, and acrylic paints to create a piece rich in color and texture. The appearance of the surface of the painting changes, dependent upon the lighting.
To reduce glare, I photograph prior to adding a protective satin gloss coat. Therefore, the colors seen here will be even more vivid in person.
~COLORS: NICKEL AZO GOLD, TEAL, COBALT, JENKINS GREEN, RAW UMBER, MARS BLACK, WHITE, MICACEOUS IRON OXIDE,* IRIDESCENT COPPER*, PAYNE'S GRAY, HINTS OF PURPLE AND SAGE GREEN
* Micaceous Iron Oxide and Iridescent Copper are acrylic paints made from real metal. They add marvelous textural and reflective qualities to the surface of canvas or paper.
