Cabalto calcite pin
Kimberly Stephenson (see more by this artist)
I don't wear jewelry, but I would definitely wear this pin. I believe pins are little works of art, and like almost everything I make, they are always one-of-a-kind pieces. My husband Craig says this pin reminds him of the Botticelli painting, "Birth of Venus", but he has an artistic way of looking at the jewelry I make. This piece is primarily sterling silver except for the steel (for strength) pin stem and the 14k gold shell-shaped piece that the 4mm faceted amythyst sets on. It is 3-6/8" at it's longest point and 2" at it's widest. The (pink) cabalto calcite is 2" by 3/8" with tapered ends, and there's a very pretty, gold-colored pearl with a sterling setting. I have to say this is one of my favorite new pieces, as it's a really bold and eye-catching pin.
