Sacred Pool - Labradorite Necklace
Simona Counts (see more by this artist)
Considered "The Stone of Spiritual Awakening", labradorite gets its name from the region Labrador in Canada which is the main and original source of this feldspar stone. Even before the year 1000, the natives of Maine used this gem for decoration. However, it was only in the 1770s that the labradorite got its name, when it was found by Moravian Missionaries in Labrador.
Said to represent the "temple of the stars", labradorite brings clarity of thought, and the wisdom of other worlds and universes to us. On an individual level, it brings forth each person's strengths to share with the world, and each other.
This beautiful necklace features a fairly large, excellent quality labradorite pendant (45x40mm or approx. 1 1/2" x 1 3/4") shining with high flashes of green, aqua, gold, and midnight blue. The colors change according to the angle of light refraction. The necklace is completed by curved tibetan silver links with a carved knot design (40mm long), accented by smaller (8mm) round labradorite beads. The curved hook clasp adorned with a hanging labradorite bead finishes the necklace and is blending in perfectly with the rest of the elements.
Overall length of the necklace is 17" (add 2" for the pendant).
Handcrafted - One of a kind.
