This is my new pencil "Coin self-portrait", of my own image on a quarter. Which is only right and proper, to have my image on a coin, since I had enough courage to take a major stand on Friday the 13th of June, 2008 In Lake County Court, Waukegan Illinois and had my name legally changed from Steve Kreuscher to "In God We Trust", in aims to save that endangered phrase from ever being taken off of the American currency. I also did it as a personal expression of, who God has made me into by the "Riches of His Grace, In Christ Jesus; My Lord and my Savior", and also so that I would have a new unique and powerful signature to sign all of my future art works with.
This piece of artwork is " Stand # 3 ", in a new series of seven pieces of artwork. The series is called, " The Seven Stands of In God We Trust ".
This piece of artwork artistically expresses the most important stand that I have ever taken, or will ever take. That stand is, the stand that I took, on Friday the 13Th of June 2008, when I legally changed my name to "In God We Trust".
"The Declaration of Independence of the United States of America" is an artistic, poetic, immortalized stand, which is artistically and historically documented on paper and locked up under glass and guarded 24 hours a day. What kind of price tag should be put upon this and other great artistic, historicaly documented stands. What kind of price should be put upon the documentation of the greatest historical stand ever taken in America, which is the very foundation of our freedom in America.
I purposely priced this piece higher, then "Jack, The Dripper's" painting titled "No. 5, 1948", because since "Jack, The Dripper's" drip painting, "No. 5, 1948, sold for 150.6 million dollars (inflation adjusted), then this masterpiece and the stand, which it represents, is definitely worth more.

This is a beautiful piece of work! The illusion of texture in the coin is exquisite and the detailing very impressive.
Well done! (...and congratulations!)...
Seller response: Thanks again, Mary, for your gracious words. This one was quite a task. |
