My Sundaay Morning Sunshine
Richard Van Order (see more by this artist)
I created this original to speak out about Easter Sunday, and the sunshine that all people in the world could feel in knowing even just a little compassion to one another. I found that children can play with one one another, and the color of their skin, or ethnic beackgrounds had little or no meaning to them. I also learned that children relate to color in finding compassion rather then the darkness of judgment that lives in our adult world of today. Picasso wrote that he didn't become the artist until he became the child, which for years I myself never understood. This original is done with sidewalk chalk, pastels, charcoal, and water colors on a stretched muslin canvas. Just a note for any buyer. My reproduction rights can also be purchased as well for a fair price. Almost all of my originals come framed, and the frames were created, and made by me. So what you are seeing here is exactly what will be shipped to you. I might add that on some originals I will deliver them in person as long as my travels, and hotel room are paid for.
