Holly Crown-12th Night Announcement

Again, in creating announcements for event in 1983, most of us did not have a home computer! I found my original drawing in a file, so removed the typed text. This is a Holly Crown from which falls a Holly Garland! In the Crown, it reads: AS XVII. I am unsure if this design was actually used, though I still like it. The information had been typed onto my original drawing. The magic of PAINT program & my computer, I was able to remove the typed text. It was for 12th Night in the Kingdom of the West, AS XVII (1983). I was Autocrat for the 3rd time with my friend, Sirana of Hawthorn Hall – as my right hand woman (Assistant Autocrat). I had taken her under my Pelican wings, teaching her all I knew about managing events. Then, in 1984 – had the pleasure as Queen of Ronald & me giving Sirana her Pelican. Sirana & I did have great fun managing & organizing 12th Night that year. As a mundane note, I should not have been dealing with management of that event at all, though I had a good team. I was quite ill from a brain tumor & on February 4, 1983, had brain surgery to remove a benign Meningioma & recovered nicely, returning to work full time within 2 months, shocking everyone. Yes, in medieval times, I know that I would not have lived. Everything worked well for that 12th Night & the event was a success. A great time was had by all with a huge news article in the Hayward, California paper the next week. Many times, looking back, even as sick as I was, keeping busy & doing stuff & working full time kept me from feeling worse, as I had to concentrate on what was before me & not on how bad I felt. It gave me strength to know that “I can do!” And, I believe that I did well! In 2009, I am a 26 year survivor. This pleases me!
