In December 1977, I had been in the medieval group (SCA) for just more than one year. I had become active already & discovered that I could draw some things in pen & ink. Inspired by medieval paintings, I drew the Cover for the Golden Rivers Current, newsletter to the Barony of Golden Rivers (Sacramento, California). My idea was a medieval couple’s images set into a stained glass panel. Since no one did full color publication covers in those days, it had to be imagined only that is was stained glass. All the lines represent leading. See the additional view of this. I vaguely recall working on this drawing, though I know I drew it. I do remember drawing the helm on the second photo herein.
