I created the first McDonald THEME park between 1969 and 1970 at Bemsalem PA I did it as a favor for 2 friends the owners Peter Hatzis and the late George Gabriel. I think they should have stayed with the theme park instead of the play-land, less cost for insurance and low maintenance. It help push the gross over the top, even the late Ray Kroch came from Chicago to Bensalem PA to see the reason for the sudden surge in sales. But I did get a thank you and $1500. It hangs in the MacDonald office, I think? I also made a 3 dimensional mock up, have no idea were that is. The owners took the credit, but I have the proof. This was not the same as Ronald McDonald play-land that came later, but not from me. To me your first thoughts are your best.
