ACT I: INTO THE FOREST
Limited Edition of 250, signed and numbered. This kaleidoscope is a masterpiece of woodworking and inlay detail. The exterior of the scope harkens to a finely crafted Germanic piece. The wood inlay is protected with museum quality UV glass. This kaleidoscope is Sallie's personal favorite handheld kaleidoscope. The artist notes on the inside cover of the booklet that goes with the scope reads:
Artist’s Notes
The tale of A Midwinter Night’s Dream was a dream of the artist, borne on a summer night. As “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” by William Shakespeare is a dream of love in marriage between two, “A Midwinter Night’s Dream” is a vision of harmony in the world between all. A dream where the needs of many outweigh the desires of a few; a dream where all creatures – human and loving beasts – are respected, loved, protected, and cared for. A dream that provides space for all people in all cultures. It is our children, and their generations to come who will lead after we are gone. Let us leave them a world of peace. A world where all expressions of faith are equally welcome. A dream that I offer you to take as your own, and pass to your children.
