	Unheard Messages White Buffalo Designs (see more by this artist) This gourd mask measures 20 1/2" tall and 16" wide,including feathers. This mask was created to honor the winged ones,messengers from the Creator.Often times we are sent messages and we miss them because we're not listening.That is what the tear drops represent to me.It saddens the winged ones when we don't hear their messages.It saddens me to think about what I have missed.How about you? I used acrylic paints to decorate the mask.In the yellow circle on the forehead are the colors that represent the Cherokee four directions.Blue-North,Red-East,White-South,Black-West.The feathers for the headdress are turkey and blackbird.The earrings are mosaic turquoise agogo pendants.A leather loop was added for hanging purposes.The mask was sealed with wax to protect the finish.
