This "Memory Pot ~ Bird Paradise" is a new exciting piece. This piece is created out of one slab of rolled out clay and then is beaten into shape. The style is referred to as bash pottery. I just keep beating the clay with a flat stick until I achieve the result I am looking for.
I currently have these in galleries and exhibitions.
I planned to add cork to the piece after it was glazed and fired. The holes for the cork were created during the clay working process.
This is glazed in a cream speckled coloration with moss green and a bronze at the bottom. The pot stands approximately 6" high and 6" in diameter.
In addition to two corks added, There is copper chain and other metals, plus semi precious stones ( peridot, citrine,white turquoise, serpentine and more) and clay birds.
