This "Memory Pot ~ Traces" is a new exciting piece. This piece is created out of one slab of rolled out clay and then is beaten into shape. The style is referred to as bash pottery. I just keep beating the clay with a flat stick until I achieve the result I am looking for.
I currently have these in galleries and exhibitions.
I planned to add cork to the piece after it was glazed and fired. The holes for the cork were created during the clay working process.
This is glazed in a cream crackle coloration with moss green at the bottom. The pot stands approximately 5 1/2" high and 5" in diameter.
In addition to two corks added, There is bronze chain and other metals, plus semi precious stones ( Picasso jasper, serpentine and more), also black underglaze markings on the upper portion of the pot.
